Thundersnow

Thundersnow is an unusual kind of thunderstorm, with snow falling instead of rain. It typically falls in regions of strong upward motion within the cold sector of an extratropical cyclone. This tone poem captures the feel of the gently falling snow becoming more intense and yes – even lightning and thunder - portrayed by creative, rhythmic malleting, mart-lifts and shakes. The addition of optional sleigh bells tops it off! The wonderful story behind this commission and its inspiration is included in the score. This is an exciting, fresh, creative work which will delight your ringers and audience! To view this score, please select the 'down arrow' at the bottom of this cover page.
