Davidson, Beth
Beth says: “ I have been playing handbells since I was 12, which, I’m sorry to say, means I have been playing for more than 4 decades! I first saw solo ringing in 1991, when I moved to Portland and met Nancy Hascall, my first inspiration and coach. I played solos in several festivals and when I moved to Germany in 1995 I found an unused set of bells at a US Army base in Augsburg at began playing regularly for their chapel services. When I moved back to Portland in 1997 I met David Jordan, and discovered duet and small ensemble ringing. We formed Handbells Unlimited! and began touring and teaching. Together with Michael Kastner and Kevin McChesney we created SEE – Solo/Ensemble Extravaganza, the first national conference specifically for solo and small ensemble ringers. My day job is in healthcare, I am married and have three children, three step-children, two grandsons with a third grandchild soon to arrive.”
