Matthew Compton Matthew Compton had his first handbell composition published when he was just 17 years old. In October 2007, Matthew picked up his very first handbell and that was just the beginning as he now has multiple pieces accepted for publication. With three years’ ringing experience, Matthew is developing ringing skills with the help of Kevin McChesney and the Pikes Peak Ringers and continues to write new music. His future goals include directing handbell events and festivals.
