Motionally Charged was written for Velocity Handbell Ensemble – whose tag-line reads: “Music That Moves.”  And this piece does move! Written in 5/4, the steady rhythm and catchy melody are well-established from the beginning. The energetic forward motion continues until running head-long into ¾ time and massive chords. The opening 5/4 section is then reestablished with a full-scale drive to the ending.  Recording courtesy of Matthew Prins.
