Equinox

*Chosen for the 2026 Bay View Week of Handbells, premiered under the direction of Fred Gramann*

Take your musicians on a journey of duality with "Equinox" by Caleb J. Onstead. Approximately equidistant sections of music contrast each other in the opening section. A rhythmic bassline underscores more melodic material in C Major which then gives way to something more... Feral... In C Minor. After the Major section returns a change of key takes us to a more grounded interlude with more movement. Then the equidistant material returns in the new key and we groove all the way to the concise ending.  Caleb J. Onstead
