This work was commissioned to incorporate the ‘silver’ theme in honor of the Mid-Ohio Valley Ringers 25^th anniversary!  Since the periodic table of elements lists ‘silver’ as Ag – Jason incorporated the notes “A” and “G” in the work. The atomic number of silver is 47 – which begged to be represented by 4/4 and 7/8 plus the symbolism of 25 years of course, had to feature 2/4 and 5/8 time! With all this in mind, an engaging melody is introduced on Silver Melody Bells, supported by singing bell, LV, and bass chimes. The development features passages of melody reminiscent of the beginning, supported by perfectly placed stopped sounds and a variety of moods and tempo changes leading to an magical and creative ending.
