Here is a delightful new setting for this holiday favorite! The brief introduction reflects Herbert’s March of the Toys before featuring the “Masters…” main theme. The interplay of melody in treble, then in bass, with the accompaniment in the opposite clef features mallet, pluck, or TD as the director chooses, followed by brief passage of marts which leads into 8 measures played with all stopped sounds. Next, a key change and fully-rung notes lead to an exciting ending. Changing dynamics make this work very interesting to play and listen to and it is sure to be a ‘must-have’ title in your group’s repertoire!
