Written mostly in 10/8, this is an exciting new setting for the perennial favorite Advent hymn. Featuring melody carried in both bells and chimes, a variety of stopped sounds punctuate the rhythm and add another level of excitement that will keep the ringers engaged and the audience waiting to hear what comes next! A ‘B’ section switches to 2/2 with melody supported by echoed whole notes. This leads into an unexpected key change (always exciting!) which features chimes accompanied by flowing LV bell passages. A return to the opening theme drives forward to a smashing ending! This is a ‘must-have’ for your advanced group repertoire.
