This lilting melody is a song about the Puerto Rican coqui, a tiny tree frog with a high pitched voice that “sings” from dusk till dawn. The music is accented with shakes, thumb damps and martellatos. The arranger uses the full 3 octave range to create an appealing arrangement of the traditional melody. Set at a fast-paced quarter = 138 tempo.
