This lyrical music was written by French Romantic composer and organist, César Franck, in 1858 and is part of a group of short pieces for organ. Fred has transcribed this beautifully for handbells and handchimes. The lovely melody is featured in both bells and chimes and enhanced by countermelodies and a steady accompaniment. It is expressive and true to the Romantic style, featuring gentle nuances in tempo and expression. This will be a lovely addition to any concert and perfect for inclusion in worship. This work offers an excellent opportunity for your group to expand on their expressive ensemble ringing.
