Smith, Carol
Carol Smith, a resident of Clayton, CA, is a graduate of Southern Illinois University with a major in mathematics and a minor in music. Her experience with handbells spans 36 years. Sharing the joy of ringing with community organizations, retirement communities, and churches through her solo handbell ministry has been a passion of hers for the past 24 years. Carol has performed as a solo artist both nationally and internationally and was featured soloist at the AGEHR National Seminar in 2002. She is an active member of Handbell Musicians of America and served on the Area XII Board as the S.F. Bay Area Regional Coordinator and Director of Communications for six years. Currently she is a member of ‘Tapestry’, a community handbell ensemble, and ‘Ringing Bells’ of the Walnut Creek UMC.
