Nelson, Susan T
Susan T. Nelson has been published since 1991 and has numerous works in print with 20 different publishers. She holds a BA degree in music composition from Rutgers University. A creative, prolific composer, Susan is known internationally for her innovative original compositions and ability to write in a wide variety of styles. Her works have been performed at festivals and recorded by top-notch ensembles in the United States, Europe and Asia.
Ms. Nelson has studied in master class with Donald Allured, Cynthia Dobrinski, Katsumi Kodama, and was the 1999 recipient of AGEHR’s McKeehan Scholarship. She has served as Historian on the AGEHR Area II Executive Board. As a clinician, she has taught composition, score study, music theory, and various handbell techniques AGEHR Festival Conferences. She is proficient on 7 musical instruments: piano, organ, harpsichord, handbells, recorder, guitar and flute.
